Everything From Framing
to Final Finish

A Summit basement finish is turnkey — we handle permits, framing, electrical rough-in, plumbing (if needed), insulation, drywall, paint, flooring, trim, doors, and all finish work. One contractor, one contract, no subcontractor chaos. You shouldn't have to manage four different companies to finish a basement. We handle it all under one roof, with one point of contact from start to final walk-through.

01
Permits & Planning

We pull all required permits and handle inspections. No shortcuts that come back to haunt you at closing. Every Summit basement finish is fully permitted and code-compliant.

02
Framing & Rough-Ins

Stud walls, electrical, plumbing, HVAC extensions — all properly permitted and inspected before we close in. The bones of your basement, done right the first time.

03
Insulation & Drywall

Proper moisture barrier, rigid foam or batt insulation, and finish drywall. We don't skip steps here — Utah basements deal with moisture and temperature swings that punish shortcuts.

04
Flooring & Paint

LVP, carpet, tile — whatever fits your design and budget. We'll help you select materials that perform in a below-grade environment. Paint selections and color matching included.

05
Trim, Doors & Hardware

Baseboard, door casing, interior doors, closet systems — the finish carpentry that separates a complete basement from one that looks half-done. We don't leave this for later.

06
Final Clean & Walk-Through

We clean up the site, walk every square foot with you, and document any punch list items. We don't close out until you're satisfied — and we mean that.

Why It Makes Financial Sense

The Highest-ROI Renovation
in Utah

A properly finished basement in the Wasatch Front market returns 70–75 cents on every dollar spent — and often more in Park City and Heber Valley where square footage commands a premium. More importantly, you're not just adding resale value. You're adding livable space your family uses every day. That's a return you can feel, not just read on an appraisal.

Real Numbers. Real Returns.

A 1,000 sq ft Enhanced basement at $55/sq ft is a $55,000 investment. In most Wasatch Front markets, that adds $70,000–$85,000 to your home's appraised value.

Common Questions

Basement Finishing
Questions

Yes — always. Unpermitted basement finishes are a serious liability when you sell and can create real safety issues. They'll also show up in appraisals as unfinished space, which undermines everything you spent. We pull all required permits and manage inspections from start to finish.
Most projects run 6–12 weeks from permit approval to final walk-through. Complex projects with wet bars, home theaters, or heavy plumbing tend to run toward the longer end. We give you a realistic schedule upfront and hold to it — we don't lowball the timeline to win the bid.
Yes — with an egress window, which is required by Utah code for any legal bedroom. We handle egress window installation as part of the project when needed. A bedroom without egress is not a legal bedroom, regardless of how nice it looks.
We coordinate licensed electricians and plumbers as part of the project. All rough-in work is done by licensed tradespeople and inspected before close-in. We manage their schedules so you don't have to chase anyone down.
No problem — adding a basement bathroom is one of the most common additions we handle. If there's already a rough-in stubbed up from the builder, it's straightforward. If not, we cut the slab and install the rough-in as part of the project.
A basement finish starts with raw, unfinished space — concrete floor, bare studs or open space, no drywall. A basement remodel updates an already-finished space, whether that means reconfiguring a layout, adding a bathroom, or upgrading materials. We do both, and the process and pricing differ slightly.
Built Right. Built to Last.
